Petra, place I need to visit before I die

Petra is a beautiful place located in the south west of Jordan, but what is so interesting about Petra? what is petra? 

were the questions I asked when they told me about Petra, and showed me this picture and I was amazed.

Petra was the capital of the ancient Nabataean empire, in this ancient city was a meeting place for business routes that connected it with Egypt, Syria, Arabia and the southern Mediterranean.  It was a city with a lot of life and very important until the changes in the trade routes accompanied by apparently earthquakes, the city was abandoned by its inhabitants, until the year 1812 where it was rediscovered and transformed into an archaeological point of great importance, today is a tourist place, unfortunately for me, because I would like to discover every secret and how it was possible its construction, unfortunately I am not an archaeologist, so my visit will be a tourist one day, I will visit jordan and walk through the ancient city of petra.
